This message goes out to all the active registered members of the DeTomaso
website, www.ProvaMo.com.
As stated, there are no plans to send frequent e-mail, thus this is our 1st
e-mail of 2007.
I would like to take a moment to invite all those that have yet to add a car
to the DeTomaso Registry to do so. See the Registry FAQs for details
regarding what photos should be sent, or for answers to the most common
questions.

Help is available to assist you in completing the Registry form and
submitting photos.
The Registry has grown past 900 entries, and is the largest and fastest
growing resource of its kind. I would like to personally thank all those
that have participated!
The new search function is being tested now and will be available very soon.
Search, Browse, and View will provide results when searched by Model and
Year.
As ProvaMo grows, most of the content will only be available to those that
have added a car to the Registry. This is necessary to motivate some owners
to contribute to the Registry, and to reward those that have assisted this
effort to support the DeTomaso Community with a Detail and Photo Registry of
our Marque.
One of the areas receiving attention is developing the new (Pantera) Repair
and Maintenance manual. I found that the manual written when the Pantera was
new is outdated, and in many cases was not accurate to begin with. Even when
updated with Service Bulletins back in the 1970 s and 1980 s the manual is
marginal in quality. The goal is to perform all the jobs necessary to repair
and maintain our cars, and document the procedure with step-by-step
instructions augmented with diagrams, digital images and links to resources.
To be responsive to members the specific tasks with the most interest will
receive a higher priority. In other words, if you have a task you would like
added to the manual sooner versus later, use the contact button at the
bottom of any page to provide your feedback.
Naturally this task is huge. Editing the procedures takes time, but
gathering the photos to document the task is even more challenging. If you
have performed some task (and everyone has!) please contribute some photos.
If you are planning a task, keep in mind that taking photos as you proceed
will help you later, and will definitely help others in the future as they
undertake the repair or maintenance tasks of owning a DeTomaso automobile.
The section for DeTomaso cars for sale is a popular destination for many
visitors. This area receives significant resources as a result of the
traffic. If you are aware of a DeTomaso for sale, the seller would
definitely benefit from a free advertisement.
May this website help you to more fully enjoy the experience of owning and
driving a DeTomaso.
